The Washington County Museum teams up with county officials, authors, historians, and residents to host a series of conversations about growth in the Tualatin Valley region. Each event will be tailored to its specific locale, from Banks to Beaverton, and will bring to light various perspectives from the historical and ecological to the political and personal. Join us for the series launch in Forest Grove on October 4!

The moderator for this discussion is author and historian Ken Bilderback. "The museum's panel series kicks off in Forest Grove, which is a place with seemingly competing identities,” notes Bilderback, adding “It is at once a small rural city and also a Portland suburb that hosts a farm culture and university culture. In essence, it is a microcosm for growth issues across the country." Also joining the conversation as panelists are Mayor Pete Truax, farmer Lyle Spiesschaert, MAX line advocate Tom Beck and a representative from Forest Grove community organization Adelante Mujeres. Come be a part of this important community dialogue!
